In the narrowest variant, the beam of light becomes Square because of the shape of the diode. I took a set with a 18650 battery and an adapter for 3 AAA batteries. The battery dangles a little in a plastic clutch that dresses over it, so it’s a little annoying, but it’s disposable to add a gasket between them. I can not say that a large number of modes of operation is a plus, as you have to switch for a long time in search of the desired mode if necessary, but otherwise the flashlight is cool!
